Description of program

  • The Nursing Assistant and CPR Training  program is designed for those seeking certification in Illinois and employment for the position of a Certified Nursing Assistant. 


  • The Nursing Assistant and CPR Training  Program consists of an 8-12week course with day and evening offerings that includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.


  • This course consists of 120 hours of instruction with 80 hours of classroom theory and practice and 40 hours of on-site nursing center clinical instruction and performance.


  • In order to successfully pass the course students must successfully pass all classroom written exams with a 80% or higher and master all 21 skills independently.

  • Students will learn 21 required skills necessary to become a nursing assistant. By the end of this course students will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of health concerns that require reporting to the nurse. 


  •  Skills include: · Medical terminology· Vital signs · Activities of Daily Living (ADL)· Bed Making· Range of Motion· Transfers· Intake & Output Monitoring  · Documentation· And more…



  • Learn supportive, problem solving skills to assist people in need of care.· Exhibit good communication skills good ethics and maintain interpersonal relationships.·
